There’s a marketing truism that says:
“The fortune is in the follow-up.”
This will be true in 100 years, it’s true now, and it was true even 100 years ago.
Heck:
It was true 1900 years ago!
Apostle Paul was the world’s first multi-step direct mailer – he had to write multiple letters to certain churches.
(The church of the Thessalonians, for example.)
But specifically:
He sent the second letter to warn them about when Jesus Christ’s return would be – because they misunderstood his first letter…
…and foolishly taught they’d be “raptured” away before the great tribulation of the end times.
Follow-up lets you not only sell more of your supplements…
…but also clarify, expand upon, even apologize for in your newsletter.
(Only if you legitimately screw something up – NOT because you suffer from spinelessitis.)
Email is a very “forgiving” medium like this.
You can bungle a sales pitch today and write a better one to send the same people tomorrow.
(But not the usual way sales pitches are done in this industry – nuh-uh, the Email Storyselling way of pitching people supplements.)
Just as you can say something stupid and erroneous today out of ignorance of something…
….and send another email clarifying or revising what you said tomorrow.
I hope the point is crystal clear by now:
Incessant follow-up is so important…
Even God Himself Used It.
So why would we mere mortals not do the same?
Why do most supplement brands not do it?
From my experience, and from what I’ve seen… the average supplement business emails about 3-4x per month.
Which I’d argue is not only a business Blind Spot…
But a MORAL one!
That is, if you believe the products/offers you’re making truly add value to people’s lives.
If you don’t, then… well…
You’re “just” missing out on a lot of extra moolah.
But if you DO believe in your products?
Once that first sale is made it’s your job to put that person on a journey to buy other offers from you that can improve their lives…solve their problems… relieve their frustrations… and attain the desires your offers can help them do that with.
If you don’t?
Someone else (i.e., your competition) will.
But they’ll probably be selling them inferior offers.
Are you gonna let your customers – those under your care and protection (according to the ancient Roman definition of “client”) – buy your competition’s horseshit offers?
This alone should make you want to work harder, serve them harder, and, yes…
Sell Them Harder.
(And, yes, that includes sending MORE emails – daily ideally.)
They will spend their money to fulfil their desires of getting strong/jacked/yoked/built like a fridge…
Only question is:
Will they buy from you, or the other (inferior) guy you let outwork you?
I can help you if the answer’s the former.
But if it’s the latter? If you’ve already given up?
(Even if unwittingly.)
Then there’s nothing I – or anyone else for that matter – can do for you frankly, I think you’d be better off finding a cushy corporate job instead.
But considering you’re on this newsletter and, also, have read 530+ words of this email so far?
(Something the TikTok brain’d generation struggles with…)
I wager you’re not the latter.
Whatever the case:
