The word authority has the word author in it.
My authority in this field does not come from claiming expertise – it comes from authorship and prolificacy.
It comes from there being so much material in the world – my book, my website, these DAILY emails – all written in my voice and reflecting my actual thinking.
So if we take this definition of authority and run with it…
Chances are you wouldn’t pass.
Well, at least your newsletter wouldn’t.
The email frequency I often see in the supplement industry befuddles me – 2-3 emails per month… that’s where most supplement brands are.
(At least from what I’ve seen over the past 9 years on hundreds of newsletters.)
How does one build an intimate relationship – with another human being – on 2-3 interactions a month?
Would that even be possible?
I’m sure someone has done it…
(Albeit I have severe reservations about the quality of that relationship…)
But often it just doesn’t work out – the relationship cools off.
And it can’t really be any other way:
People forget 1000 things every day – many of which are more important than where they buy their supplements from…
They are NOT thinking about you.
Just today:
They woke up to 14 emails, 12 texts and 37 FB/IG ads from every competitor with a pulse…
The only person/brand they’re thinking about…
…is who showed up LAST.
So pretty much the only way to stay top-of-mind…
Is to show up in their faces Daily.
Now if you plan to use retargeting ads or post daily content on social media…
Go for it – any daily is better than no daily.
However…
That’s a game where the odds aren’t stacked in your favour – you depend too much on platforms and their algos to even SHOW your stuff.
The smarter game is… of course…
Electronic Mail.
Once you sort out your deliverability and start landing in the primary tab instead of spam/promo…

It’s probably the safest way to get yourself across a customer’s eyeballs.
If you commit yourself to sending an email every day…
You will be in the top 1% of ALL marketers.
Not just marketers inside the supplement industry – ALL industries.
I know that sounds like an exaggeration…
But very few people have written 100 pieces of copy/emails selling one product/one supplement.
The bar is stratospherically low.
More:
If you push yourself/your team/the agency that does your emails… to send out one email for the next 100 days?
You will not only get widely proficient at selling…
…you will have so much confidence in yourself…
That nothing can stop you.
PLUS:
You’ll have 100 marketing assets – which you can turn into automated email sequences… social media posts… videos… blogs… even PPC ads!

Look around you:
Can you name just ONE… yes ONE… competitor that wrote a 100 emails selling one protein powder, one creatine, one pre-workout?
If you’ve ever asked yourself something along the lines of:
‘How do I stand out? Where can I acquire a competitive advantage? How do I get ahead of others?‘
Well… I can’t put it more plainly than this:
Just email daily.
It isn’t sexy…
There’s no fancy tech involved with it…
And quite honestly?
It’s time-consuming and takes quite some ingenuity & creativity – at least if you’re doing it right…
