My 3 rules for business in 2026

Since 2026 is just around the corner, I thought I’d end the year by revealing the 3 core business rules I usually abide by, I have abided by, and will continue to abide by in 2026 as well.

Here are the three simple rules:

  1. Assume everyone’s full of shit until proven otherwise (myself included)
  2. Never follow the herd – in fact try to defy the dogma & norms as much as possible
  3. Follow „The Golden Rule“

I never gave much thought to that last one…

But it’s probably the core philosophy behind my entire „Email Storyselling“ methodology – the main driving force.

Because as someone who has been into bodybuilding since 2017…

I KNOW I wouldn’t like to be on the receiving end of emails/newsletters that are just blatant supplement sales pitches…

I KNOW I wouldn’t find that attractive, appealing and persuasive – in fact, it’d just turn me away…

(Regardless of how powerful the incentive to buy – a discount, a BOGO, or something else – was…)

I KNOW I’d like a sports nutrition brand’s newsletter to treat me better…

To get emails that are different, fresh, unique, and most importantly:

An enjoyable experience.

Because I already was on a couple of newsletters that I COULD NOT wait to read every single day – I couldn’t wait for them to land in my inbox!

(They were just in different industries…)

I’d walk away from reading those emails somehow better off:

  • Whether I was pleasantly entertained for the 1-2 minutes reading them…
  • Whether I learned something new or my thinking was elevated…
  • Whether the emails made me do one thing differently that day…

But sadly, for me?

The sports nutrition industry had nothing like this on offer.

Which is why I spent a good two years of my life – roughly 4500 hours – on developing „Email Storyselling“… to fill out the grand canyon-sized hole in this industry.

(When you want something done right, you’ve got to do it yourself no?)

We’re only getting started – 2026 is going to be even better…
